Location: Underground, Cologne, Germany
Support: Killfloor Mechanic + Keep of Kalessin
On the 11th May I went to the Finntroll - Blodsvept Release Party
I was pretty surprised by the fact, that this concert wasn't in Essen or Oberhausen as it is common for metal concerts in North-Rhine-Westphalia !
Before the concert began I dressed up and made a troll paint for my face, which was one of only three at the concert.
The location was easy to find, because several train stations where close to it. Also the location wasn't far away
I was so excited that my stomach hurt, which never happenend before.
I meet some internet mates, which was quite funny and I'm really happy that I spent the concert with them.
When the show began I felt lucky, because I was standing in the first row
Killfloor Mechanic wasn't my cup of tea, but Keep of Kalessin really made me move ! They're show was good and the audience's ice was melted.
The masters of the evening were definitly Finntroll (needless to say). When I first saw them their sound was awful, but this time it was amazing. I've never danced and growled so much, and I even got cramps on my stomach from doing it
They played various songs which the audience voted for on their facebook page. So it was a nice mix up of songs from Jaktens Tid, Nattfödd, Nifelvind, Blodsvept and even Mittnattens Widunder !
After the show I met the Trolls, which was really awesome !
I talked a lot with Vreth, who is a very lovely person to talk to
I asked him a couple of questions and we talked a lot, we even joked around
I still can't believe that the DDR uniform jacket Vreth was wearing is real
The trolls signed my special tour poster and we took some photos, which are all quite hilarious
Skrymer is sooo tall !
All in all it was totally worth paying the price for this fan package
The package also included a usb stick with a Finntroll Logo print containing a recording of the concert and pop art picture of Tundra and a a special European Tour shirt, which you weren't able to buy at the merchandise.
It was the best show I ever attended and I'm so damn happy that I bought the ticket !
The pictures will follow soon "Trollhammaren sveper igen! Hugga ned, broder igen! Hör det sista ropet - Trollhammaren är här!"
